- There is nothing to pay to book or to join. It is tip-based: at the end you give what you thought it was worth, and nobody stops you at the door if you give nothing.
- Where do we meet?
- The Visitor Center on the 2nd floor of Taichung Station, close to the ticket gates — arrive by train and it is one floor up from the platforms. Your confirmation email carries a photo of the exact spot, a Google Maps link, a short video showing how to find us, and your guide's contact. Your guide wears our uniform.
- Is the tour in English?
- Yes. The walk runs in English and in Mandarin. Choose your language when you book and we assign a guide who leads in it.
- How long is it, and how far do we walk?
- About two hours on foot. Every stop sits inside the old town and the route spans only 400 metres in a straight line, so a slow pace keeps up fine.
- Does it run in the rain?
- Yes — rain or shine, the walk runs as scheduled. Bring an umbrella.
- Do I need to book ahead? Does it run if I am the only one?
- Book at least 24 hours ahead so we can roster a guide for that slot. One booking is enough — the walk goes ahead without waiting for a group to fill.
