The four stages
Each stage has a clear bar to clear, and you actually work at each level before moving on.
STAGE 1 · HISTORIC DOWNTOWN GUIDE
Old-town veteran
6 classes, 18 hours plus assessment
Travellers arriving in a new city often start with a free walking tour. As an old-town guide, you become their first friend in Taichung.
STAGE 2 · GROUP SUPER GUIDE
Super veteran
After 10 hours of guiding
Hands-on training in hosting groups. Ours are mostly listed companies, bilingual schools and government guests, so it widens both your network and your view.
STAGE 3 · THEME TOUR GUIDE
Theme veteran
After 20 hours of guiding
Learn the full set of themed routes: the sun-cake workshop, the market food walk, Nantun old street, the world kitchen, and new themes as we develop them.
STAGE 4 · SPLENDID COACH
Coach
After 50 hours of guiding
Become the coach who trains new guides. It takes real experience to get here, and from here you help many more people pass the culture on.

Sign-up starts with the three-hour taster: pick a date (or join the waitlist if none are open; we will add one) and we will get in touch to arrange an interview; just tell us at the interview that you want ALL-IN-ONE.
